Ear bud problems?

Is it just me, or does everyone have a problem with ear buds and headphones? It seems like after a few good months of working well, my ear buds always just stop working because of some internal problem. Am I alone here or does anyone else know what I am talking about? I can bend the wire inside and then it starts to work, but otherwise either no sound comes out or sometimes only one ear works. If this happens to other people, why does no one talk about it? I just got a nice pair of "Skull Candy" headphones from my brother, and they are real good so far. Hope the same thing doesn't happen to these. If this happens to everyone else, pipe up! Our voice needs to heard, stop your shoddy craftsmanship headphone companies.

word up - cheap headphones last about 4 to 6 months, good ones about a year but I've gone through so many that I don't even invest in something more than 25. I had a pair of bose headphones, they were great but I lost the ear buds, I have a pair of ear candy, the only problem I have with them is that they are a little long so I use cheap ear buds to work out with b/c it's hard to run with 2 feet of headphone dangling all around.

Ear buds don't even fit in my ear. Like I am missing the part of the ear that would hold them in I think. Makes me feel terrible, like a freak.

My 39489348320423th pair of headphones/ear buds died on me last night. For me, one ear always stops working. I'm sure it's from sweating while working out, but I have no idea what I can use that I won't get sweat in somehow? Argh!

I got a pair of Koss headphones that don't have a band or anything, they clip on my ear. There's also a volume control on the cord so I don't have to dig my ipod out of a pocket and mess with it to change the volume. I can't remember how long I've had this pair but I'd guess it was at least 2 years now.
