Is the Philly Cheesesteak the greatest hero ever?

I am not sure whether to call it a sandwich, so I just said hero so that it includes all hero's and not just hot hero's. I had probably the greatest Philly Cheesesteak I have ever had last night at a place called "Joy Burger" on the Upper East side of New York City. It was the most delicious sandwich I have had in months. Earlier in the day, I had a great Italian Hero as well. Question of the day is, what is the greatest hero ever? I think I would go with Philly Cheesesteak, but I am sure my sissy friends who only eat chicken or vegetables will interject. WHAT UP RYAN.

It's a SUPER HERO.

Lay off me, I'm bored at work.

I will make you a deal - if we ever go to Philly, I'll eat a cheese steak with you. Also there is a really great cheesesteak place near my office on 34 and 3rd next time you're in midtown.

FYI you can get a chicken cheesesteak (i don't feel the need to prefix with philly because i come from a land of cheesesteaks) and they are delicious, I even sometimes forgo the cheese and get chicken steak with friend onions and peppers. So good.

I don't really considerit a hoagie/hero/sub though. cheesesteak is kind of a sandwich of its own! although some people (subway) just call it a steak and cheese i guess.

I get Chicken cheesesteaks when I go the the cheese steak place all the time. The last time I ate red meat was when they messed up my order and I was too busy to call and complain but the chicken is so good.

Are you forgetting the chicken parm hero, or the meatball (parm?) hero?

Philly Cheesesteak is way better than any of those, but they are delicious, you are right.

I am a sissy veggie eater! :)

Greatest hero ever? Hmmm... Hiro Nakamura? Oh you mean food! :P

Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my Kitty post! You are right, people in general tend to be rather silly.

1. What the hell is a hero?
2. There is no such thing as a philly cheesesteak in new york. It is meat on a roll.

That all being said, I know a place that has a really good vegan philly cheeseteak that we could go to next time in philly. It's actually right near where we got socks with tustin

Vegetarians have no right criticizing anyone's meat!!

Also Mike, it is just steak on a roll with cheese and onion, I am pretty sure the brains in New York can duplicate that.

ok, ok, you're right. i had one yesterday and it was the most delicious sandwich i remember having in recent history.

ok kenny I believe you would only eat grade a philly cheesesteak because you are a man of taste but it is NOT true that anyone can make them, most of the ones I have out of state are terrible and wrong!

Binos! lol my socks from K-mart?? If we have a Philly meetup we will go! :)

That is because people get creative. You keep it simple, and it will taste mad good.
